With more than 25 years of industry experience, Charles brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, delivering unbiased, compelling insights that help financial advisors stay at the forefront of client relationships.

Since 2011, he has equipped advisors with powerful tools designed to enhance client engagement, attract prospects, and optimize efficiency—saving time and resources.

Charles Sherry, M.Sc., delivers insightful financial analysis in a conversational, easy-to-understand style. He expertly leverages resources to enhance the client experience, creating content that strikes the perfect balance between depth and clarity—allowing advisors to confidently share it with clients and prospects.

Background

Charles began his career in the financial services industry in 1994 with Charles Schwab. In his initial role, he interacted daily with financial advisors, developing his communication skills to identify and resolve issues.

Assisting retail clients, he excelled as a Senior Registered Representative, earning prestigious honors that included the coveted Circle of Excellence.

Charles capped his career at the company at the Schwab Center for Financial Research. By authoring the daily Schwab Market Update, he sharpened his ability to synthesize economic and market data, creating a top-rated report that conveyed key concepts to clients.

Furthermore, his efforts helped his team earn the coveted honor, Excellence in Service. 

With an M.Sc. in finance and a B.S. in economics from Louisiana State University, Charles combines a strong theoretical knowledge with the practical experience gained through an impressive portfolio of market commentaries and white papers.

Today

In addition to his work with financial advisors, Charles is a regular contributor to Horsesmouth, delivering insightful webinars and white papers on critical issues affecting advisors and their clients.

His expertise has been recognized with multiple top 10 article rankings and the prestigious best article of the year, as voted by Horsesmouth subscribers.

He is the creator and author of Advisor Talking Points, a highly regarded, concise analysis of market and economic trends tailored specifically for financial advisors.

Charles has assisted firms that include Janus Capital, BMO Capital Markets, and Invesco. He has also contributed to Retirement Weekly—MarketWatch, the Denver Post, and iris.xyz, a collection of vetted experts serving the financial services community.

Charles has successfully delivered webinars to the Financial Planning Association and moderated panel discussions at the annual FPA conference.
